OAKFOLK MAIL-CLUB
An enchanted journey through magic and storytelling.
I very recently worked on this *upcoming* mail-club with a very talented young artist whose favourite subject matter is medieval fantasy. He drew his inspiration for the series of short tales from a selection of favourite stories told by Tolkien. Liam Anthony is a young Author and Fantasy Illustrator. His work is purely commission-based and only word of mouth so to be collaborating with him is a big honour.
The goal is to introduce one character each month in a letter form. The letter will reach readers with a special art print and character reveal - the character being one of many guests in the short stories told.
A social media page will be used for promoting and revealing each (previous) month's character. Clues and clever sound bites will be revealed for extra special characters such as the mountain trolls and the mushroom folk.
The bulk of this work will be created in order to develop a book of short stories. The letters and characters revealed will therefore be featured in several of the collection of tales.
